People can look good in a lot of different Armor Sets in the game Remnant 2. Let’s talk about the best ones in general.
When it comes to how they work, armor sets are a lot easier in Remnant 2 than they were in Remnant: From the Ashes. This was probably done on purpose. Gunfire Games probably thought that Set Bonuses for Armor made players “restricted” into always having to wear certain Sets and didn’t encourage them to be unique, so they changed the method in the follow-up game.
Now that Remnant 2 is out, Armor Sets only change how much defense and protection that you have. Fans of R:FtA don’t have to worry about the game being “dumbed down” or anything like that. Because they’ve added more levels and customization to other parts of the game in exchange. Even with the new method, there are still sets that look better or have better stats than others. Let’s look at which ones are at the top of the list.
High Noon Set

Start with the Gunslinger, one of Remnant 2’s five Starting Classes. They come with the High Noon set as their first armor set. It’s a Medium Armor Set in terms of defense. But when you add up all of its parts, it weighs a lot less than other medium sets. It’s kind of like getting the best of both worlds.
Not only that, but the chest, legs, and arms are red, which looks good when mixed with any of the other red armor sets, like the Red Widow or Knotted sets. As a plus, this set’s raw Fire Resistance makes it a great match for a Firestorm build that uses the Crown of the Red Prince.
Cultist Set
![Remnant 2 - Cultist Set In Game And In Tutorial Cutscene](https://static0.gamerantimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/remnant-2-cultist-set-in-game-and-in-tutorial-cutscene.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=1500&dpr=1.5)
We now come to the Survivor Set, which is likely the most “middle of the road” in terms of defenses and resistances. It may seem silly, but the Armor Set that everyone starts with is actually one of the best in the game. This is mostly because of the chestpiece. Also, this set doesn’t come with a helmet or any other kind of hat. So most players just wear the Cultist Hat because it looks so real.
Bandit Set
![Remnant 2 - Talking To Brabus In Ward 13 With Bandit Set On](https://static0.gamerantimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/remnant-2-talking-to-brabus-in-ward-13-with-bandit-set-on.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=1500&dpr=1.5)
The Bandit Set, a favorite among fans from the last game, comes next. In Remnant: From the Ashes, this one was pretty hard to get because players had to “sort out” the friendship between Mud Tooth and Brabus.
Still, the Freeloader Set Bonus was so great that all the hard work was worth it once it was earned. Though the Set still looks the same in Remnant 2, the Freeloader Set Bonus is no longer there. Instead, most of its effects have been moved to the Bandit Mutator. Still, it looks great in both games, and the Defense/Resistance it gives is pretty good. Especially considering that players only weigh 22 when they have everything on.
Technician Set
![Remnant 2 - Close Up On Technician Set In N'Erud](https://static0.gamerantimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/remnant-2-close-up-on-technician-set-in-n-erud.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=1500&dpr=1.5)
It’s time to look at the Technician Set, which is one of the most “sci-fi”-looking armor sets in the game and goes well with a certain sci-fi handgun. It looks like the Technician Set is the bigger and stronger brother of the Space Worker Set. It also has great stats all around. By far, the best set to protect against Shock damage. However, it falls short when it comes to Bleeding and Blight. Which are two of the most common illnesses in Remnant 2.
But with a total weight of 58, it’s still not even close to being a Heavy Armor set, which some might see as a bad thing. They’ll still be in the black if they get a little extra Encumbrance from the Challenger’s Strong Back Trait or some Amulets or Rings that lower Encumbrance.
Bruiser Set
![Remnant 2 - Bruiser Set In Labyrinth](https://static0.gamerantimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/remnant-2-bruiser-set-in-labyrinth.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=1500&dpr=1.5)
The second Heavy Armor Set to make it into these lists is the Bruiser Set, and more will follow. The Bruiser Armor Set is the usual armor for the Challenger. It’s perfectly made so that once a player gets the Challenger to level 10 (which means making the Strong Back -10 Encumbrance), they can wear the whole set and still only be medium weight.
For everyone else, though, it’s probably best to keep everything else and replace only the arms and legs of the Bruce Set. Statistically, the Helmet is the best thing to get a new one of. But how could anyone not keep that funny-looking bucket of a helmet on?
Red Widow Set
![Remnant 2 - Red Widow Set Mid Summoning Animation](https://static0.gamerantimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/remnant-2-red-widow-set-mid-summoning-animation.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=1500&dpr=1.5)
The Red Widow Set may be the hardest to get out of all the armor sets in the game, maybe even more so than the Realmwalker Set. To get this flashy gold Armor Set, players must solve all the tasks and fight all the enemies in Yaesha’s “The Lament” area until they reach the coffin of King Kolket, who owns this Armor Set.
Without a doubt, the Red Widow Set is one of the most beautiful sets of armor in Drift Boss. It looks so “otherworldly” with those horns, the gold and red accents, and the way it looks all together. It’s also very good at blocking Bleed Damage and other Blights, which, in a creative way, makes it a great set to use against the Corrupted Ravager.
Leto Mark I Set
![Remnant 2 - Leto MK I Set Right Next To Whispers, Who Sells IT](https://static0.gamerantimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/remnant-2-leto-mk-i-set-right-next-to-whispers-who-sells-it.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=1500&dpr=1.5)
If you played the first Remnant: From the Ashes for any length of tim. You probably already know what the top two armor sets are. The Leto Armor was what everyone wore in the first Remnant game. Because it let them speed through the game without thinking too much about damage. Or, if they weren’t wearing that, they were wearing the Slayer Set and carrying a crossbow because of the Assassin Set Bonus.
Any way you look at it, the Leto Set was designed to be ridiculously heavy. When players tried to roll while wearing it, they would just “flop” to the ground. But in this game, there were just too many ways to counter Encumbrance with Rings, Amulets, Trait Points, and other things. Now that we’re in the second game, the Leto Armor is back and better than ever. It’s called the Leto Mark I Set, and you’ll find out why below.
Leto Mark II Set
![Remnant 2 - Leto MK II Set Right Where Its Found In-Game](https://static0.gamerantimages.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/remnant-2-leto-mk-ii-set-right-where-its-found-in-game.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=1500&dpr=1.5)
There was no doubt that the Leto Mark II Armor would be at the top of this list. This one is better because it has more defense than the MK I version and weighs a little less. And it looks a little better now that it fits in better with other Armor Set pieces instead of standing out like a sore thumb. In Remnant 2, players can only get their HP, Defense, and other important stats so high because of the Trait Point Cap. This means that every point of Defense is now much more important, especially for some Challenger or Engineer builds.
Many times when players go into an online Remnant 2 lobby, they will see at least one person wearing the full Leto MK II Set (including the Bright Steel Ring) or, at the very least, just the MK II Legs mixed with some other set. This is proof that this Armor Set is the best of the best.
